Here is the fundamental nonsequitor of all your pleadings: <<What’s more, depression is so bad for us …>>

Depression is not intrinsically bad for anyone. Indeed, it may not only be better, but be saying something true about the alternatives. Originally, depression was viewed as a kind of cure for psychosis.

Why would people avoid saying something good about depression? There are many reasons to be depressed and to cover them over with therapies, etc. is to avoid the cause not only of depression, but stress.
