Just because someone calls attention to the ethical dimension of a work purported to be scientific, does not mean they are introducing extraneous politics or conspiracy theories into the mix. Again, the said article introduces the politics in the first place, not me. I just simply draw out the consequences: if you want to do science, then do it, but do it ethically. If you do not want to, and you want to make presumptions about science and the work place, then you are talking about ‘applied science’ and you are opening up a whole other can of worms. I simply added the worms to the article, nothing more. This critique is important since people can come away from such articles with the impression that all they need do is pop a couple of pills to get rid of a depression and ‘get back to work’. When anyone who works seriously on such problems, knows this is not the case.
